Keijo “Keke” Rosberg: The Original Finnish F1 Legend Through Images from Past Decades
Keijo “Keke” Rosberg, the original Finnish F1 legend broke barriers as Finland’s first F1 World Champion in 1982, making motorsport a serious sport in the Finland.
Born in 1948 and raised in Oulu and Iisalmi, his love for racing started with his dad’s karting hobby and led him to the global stage.
Keke has summed up the F1 life in two sentences: “I will never enter a racing car without my golden necklace” and "We are always where the strawberries are fresh" 💰🍓🌞
Keke’s career was filled with charisma, championships, and rituals—like the golden chain he always wore while racing. After his racing career, Rosberg managed, among others, the careers of Mika Häkkinen and Jyrki Järvilehto. His pioneering spirit inspired generations, including his son Nico Rosberg, who followed his footsteps to become an F1 champ in 2016 🏆
Keke Rosberg will live forever as the original Finnish F1 legend.
